“Start your day at the end of the line” is the motto at QWNS Cafe, a boutique bakery and café in Astoria that launched in January 2018 by long-time hospitality professionals Tim Pappas and Dino Philippou. The name was derived from the fact that the eatery is located directly outside the Ditmars Blvd train station (the last stop on the W and N lines in Queens).

When QWNS Cafe arrived into our Instagram feed, we were loving all the gorgeous baked goods and couldn’t wait to learn more about this neighborhood newcomer. We finally had our chance when we stopped in for an exclusive preview of their upcoming brunch menu, plus a couple of classic QWNS Cafe favorites. We did have a plethora of dishes served up to us, these just happen to be our faves.

It’s quite a bit different from their predecessor, Last Stop, which offered pizza, some Italian-American food and a little bit of diner-type food.
